Deep clean or regular clean: how to tell which one you need
Published: August 2, 2026
The difference is not how hard the team tries, it is the scope of work. Simple rule: if in doubt, count the months since anyone cleaned behind the fridge.

People often pick the regular clean because it is cheaper, and end up disappointed: "they washed the floors but the hob is still greasy". The team is not the problem — the wrong service was booked. Here is the practical difference.
Regular: keeping order
This covers what is visible and used daily: floors, open surfaces, sanitary ware, the kitchen worktop, mirrors, rubbish. Two to three hours in an average flat. The point is frequency: once a week or fortnight, the place never gets a chance to slide.
Deep: resetting the flat
This adds everything you never get round to: tops of cabinets, skirting boards, door frames, switches, radiators, windows from the inside, the inside of furniture, limescale in the shower, grease on the extractor hood. Four to seven hours, usually a team of two.
- Moving in or out, or letting the flat — deep clean
- No thorough clean for more than six months — deep clean
- You clean yourself but want help weekly — regular clean
- You want to keep the result after a deep clean — regular clean on a schedule
Why the price is per square metre
Hourly rates put client and cleaner on opposite sides: the slower the work, the more it costs. A price per square metre removes that — you know the sum in advance and it does not depend on the pace. So when an ad says "from 15 GEL an hour", ask how many hours your flat will take: the total is often higher than a per-metre quote.
The minimum order is a separate matter. Sending a team with equipment and products costs the same for 30 and for 60 square metres, so every company has a floor price. It is not an upsell, it is the economics of the trip.
